Mental Meetings

I had an immensely productive evening. I have a renewed focus on moving forward in many of my creative plans. I met up with Speck at his place and eventually took our meeting to the Fish via taxi. We not only talked about each and every one of the points I outlined earlier but several other really productive topics.

I'm psyched actually. We're very much on the same page about getting this shit together. We've had all of this on the back burner for long enough. We're both highly on board for the Miami trip. Though we're in negotiations about whether or not we'll be going for BOTH weekends, or just the final weekend.

Most of the focus of our conversation was around using our time to produce more gigs, contacts and to expand and reorganize the way we communicate as a group. We knocked a lot of that out and are on the same page. I'm going to get our group calendar up and running. I need to get a list of contacts from him today. I'm going to kick this organization into gear. I'm good at that. I'm doing it.

Speck's got to stand up and sell himself instead of apologizing for things that are out of his control. What I need from him is direction and then a degree of autonomy. I can always go back and make changes to a project to make it fit the group vision or his vision, but I need to be able to work it out with a good deal of the creative control.

Things to do today:

• Email Speck for contacts & lists for B.O.*
• Call Speck to confirm meeting later and receipt of email
• Go meet with Speck about Music sharing & learning his studio set-up
• Pre-Winter Storm Grocery List
• Plan of attack for Groceries and Other Errands
• Scour for and compile tracks of new/interesting music
• Kick today in the ASS

On another note Bri and I did really well together. We have a long way to come back together in any solid way. I wonder how much the X drama is affecting the way we are trying to relate to one another as an example of what we DON'T want to do.
